Simple Thoughts on the New Year

"For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning."--T.S. Eliot

"Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account."--Oscar Wilde

That's a wonderfully restrained painting, Sharon. Very well conceived. I feel very enthusiastic about it. Have great New Year.

that painting set up a scene so sweet, thanks for sharing, love those quotes, esp the one from Oscar Wilde, slightly mean though.

Wow, good quotes. The text just perfectly illustrates the mood of your painting - points to the timeless values that are above all high phrases and earthly politics.
I like your symphony. Thank you.

That's a dream. We need just wish to listen.
I enjoy the silence - the depth of the visual story.

Ailurophile, many thanks for your kind words! I've been quite well, but have been focused on painting, rather than on blogging. I do, however, sense that a new blog post will be forthcoming in the near future...perhaps on landscapes. Thanks for being patient!
